What I'm thankful for.

In no particular order....

Readers, in general.

Readers who read my stuff.

My savvy agents.

Gravy.

A wife who is optimistic about my future as a writer, even when I'm pessimistic.

A mom who is equally optimistic.

Mexican food.

That, despite the economic news, we're in much better shape than most people realize. Just ask someone who lived through the Depression.

My dog, even though she is spoiled rotten.

That I've been able to work from home for 17 years.

Open-minded people.

Great in-laws.

Good health.

Great friends.

People willing to fight for us while we sit around and eat turkey.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot things.

What are you thankful for?

Good Day Ben!!!

I am thankful for family, friends, memories of family and friends no longer with me. I also appreciate living in a country with values worth defending.
On November 2, 2008 I woke up feeling feverish and had a swelling in my groin. I had a similar illness several years ago and decided this should not wait until monday when my doctor opened his office. I went to the emergency room at 1 pm. Several tests were run on me and I was in the OR by 6 pm and and woke up after the surgery before 8 pm. The USA has a great health care delivery system. I am thankful that it has not been socialized or nationalized yet and believe better minds will prevent this in the future.
thanks for reading

P. S. I am very thankful for my health since the above incident. I am recovering well and look forward to getting back into my life again.

17 years! Ben, you are my idol (he said while goofing off on the computer at the day job and searching for an agent for his mystery novel).

Happy holidays.--Joe
